From June 19th to 25th, Mr. Li Ligong, President of CEC, led a delegation to visit Malaysia and Singapore. During the visit, Mr. Li Ligong was invited to attend the China-Malaysia business luncheon, met with political and business representatives from both Malaysia and Singapore, and conducted on-site inspections of CEC’s enterprises and projects there. On March 19th, the 2024 Conference on International Industrial Cooperation (Singapore) & China's Machinery and Electronics Show were grandly opened at the Singapore Expo Convention & Exhibition Centre. Mr. Lu Zhipeng, Vice President of CEC, was invited to attend the "Green Digital Intelligence" sub-forum and delivered a keynote speech.

On August 16th, the 7th China-South Asia Expo commenced in Kunming, Yunnan. As one of China’s key economic and trade exchange activities with South Asian countries, CEC showcased the latest technological achievements of its subsidiaries, including China Great Wall, Feiteng, Kylin, cecloud, Dameng, and Maipu. The event fully demonstrated the overall image and technological strength of the company.

On July 5th , the open-source desktop operating system "openKylin 1.0" was officially released, marking China’s capability to independently select operating system components and build its own operating systems. openKylin 1.0 would be a domestic open-source operating system developed through open source code contributions from numerous developers. It gathered contributions from 3,867 developers, 74 SIG groups, and 271 enterprises in the community. The operating system would provide fundamental security support for key industries such as government, finance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation—sectors critical to national and public welfare....

On February 3rd , the inauguration ceremony of the International Trading Center for Electronics Components and Integrated Circuits was successfully held in Beijing. The trading center, co-led by CEC and Shenzhen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., was jointly established with 11 central state-owned enterprises, state-owned enterprises, and private enterprises. With a registered capital of 2.128 billion RMB, the Center would aim to create a new platform for market access for electronics components and integrated circuits companies and products, promoting the integration of upstream and downstream supply chains and industrial clusters....

On November 8th , the 14th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition opened in Zhuhai. As the only military-industrial group from the Greater Bay Area, China Electronics participated in this year’s exhibition, showcasing a comprehensive presentation of CEC’s next-generation defense equipment and military electronic components through a system integration approach with 113 pieces of electronic hardware. The presentation featured three-dimensional videos covering sea and air defense, border control, counter-terrorism and stability maintenance, as well as cyber and electronic warfare. In addition, more than 60 cybersecurity achievements were displayed through an interactive theater, systematically presenting CEC’ capabilities in digital services and industrial information development....

On November 6th , CEC held its 2023 global campus recruitment seminar at Shenzhen Talent Park, opening the door to talented graduates through reform-driven recruitment. The event introduced CEC global campus recruitment plan and released over 10,000 job openings, including the "Future Scientist" program and the "Direct Recruitment" project for headquarters. More than 1 million people from home and abroad participated online in the event....

On June 24th, the online launch event for China's first desktop operating system root community, openKylin, was successfully held under the theme "Creating Open Source Momentum, Enjoying a Boundless Future." The event attracted over 2 million viewers, and the openKylin community has made its official debut. The openKylin community aimed to build a top-tier open-source community for desktop operating systems based on "co-creation" as its core principle, and on the foundation of openness, voluntarism, equality, and collaboration. Through open-source and open community collaboration, the goal was to construct a globally influential open-source desktop operating system.
